We are so excited to share our newly renovated apartment, set on the top of a hill in the suburb of Zurich City, 15 minutes away from the main station. From here, the clouds and sun dance over the distant hillsides, presenting you an ever-changing view. We strive to weave together the comfort of a home away from home and the thrill of easy access to discovering the Swiss mountains and City life. The train station is 1 minute from the house and the train takes you directly to downtown Zurich and Zug. 17 stairsteps up to the entrance, where you have a whole floor with total 4 rooms and a terrasse. 2 Bedrooms, 1 Kitchen, 1 Bathroom, 1 large terrace. Free parking in front of the house for 1-2 cars. Dog-friendly area, perfect area for walking the dog.

House Rules

In Switzerland it is not allowed to make noise after 10pm so we would like to ask you to respect the local law, to avoid complaining neighbors and police. The Swiss people & culture are usually very strict with sticking to the rules! According to swiss law all hotels & airbnb's included are required to store the ID of visitors. So we have to ask for you ID / fill out a form. The information is removed after 10 years. (they mainly do this to keep track of people that are illegally in Switzerland). We of course will not use your data ourselves. Smoking outside is okay (there is an ashtray on the terrasse table). Please make sure you close doors after you and don't drag the smoke smells into the apartment. 5chf for the washing-machine and 5chf for dry-tumbling per load. Max 8 people in the apartment if you invite friends. Please no loud events. Please clean up after yourself when using the kitchen and avoid burning oils and other smelly cooking. Please don’t play music on the terrace or with open door/windows since we have many close by nabours. That appreciate our quite nabourhood. If bringing pets, please bring a dog-bed for your pet to sleep in, do not take the dog into our beds since this is a large amount of extra cleaning of hairs. Clean paws when entering the airbnb. Clean dog hairs after you if your dog is shedding, dog hair is a major cleaning task for us. Do not leave your dog alone for long if they are not used to it at start howling or barking. If your dogs are not well trained and damage furniture don't leave them alone. (We love dogs but had some owners that let their dogs do what they want) Do not leave the termostat on 25deg and keep windows open in winter, this waste alot of energy. Close the windows and light after you when you leave. Respond within 4 hours in the chat so we can reliably communicate with you. We cannot instantly fix things in proberty and you might have to use temporary solutions we can provide. Pet fee: 10chf per day per pet. (this platform has no feature to bill for pets so we have to write is here and send you an additional charge for pets) ________________ House Rules Quiet Hours No noise between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am as per Swiss law. Respect the neighbors and the local culture’s strict noise rules. Violation may lead to eviction without refund. ID Requirement All guests must provide valid ID upon check-in as required by Swiss law. Smoking Policy Smoking is allowed only on the terrace. Use the ashtray provided. Indoor smoking incurs a 200 CHF cleaning fee. Laundry 5 CHF per load for the washing machine and 5 CHF per load for the dryer. Please leave payment in the container by the machines. Maximum Occupancy Maximum of 8 people allowed on the property, including visitors. Unauthorized guests or events will result in immediate cancellation without refund. Kitchen Use Clean up after cooking, including washing dishes and wiping surfaces. Avoid cooking with strong odors (like fish or oils). Extra cleaning fees may apply if left unclean. Outdoor Music and Noise No music on the terrace or with doors/windows open. Respect for the quiet neighborhood is essential. Pet Policy Pets must have their own bed. Do not allow pets on furniture or beds. Clean up pet hair, and do not leave pets unattended if they may bark or damage property. Extra cleaning fee of 100 CHF if excessive pet hair or damage occurs. Energy Conservation Do not set the thermostat above 21°C (70°F) if windows are open. Please turn off lights and close windows when leaving. Violations may lead to additional fees. Timely Communication Respond to messages within 4 hours to facilitate prompt communication. Lack of timely responses may affect our ability to address issues. Pet Fee 10 CHF per day, per pet. This charge will be billed separately via Airbnb. Failure to respond promptly to messages about important matters may affect our ability to assist you. No Unauthorized Visitors or Gatherings Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Additional visitors, parties, or gatherings are prohibited without prior approval. Unauthorized gatherings may result in immediate cancellation and eviction without refund. Property and Damage-Related Rules Respect for Property and Belongings Guests are expected to respect all property and belongings within the apartment. Any damages, missing items, or excessive cleaning needed due to neglect or misuse will be charged to the guest. Accidental Damage Reporting Please report any accidental damage or issues immediately. Early reporting helps us address problems promptly. Failure to report damages may result in additional charges and affect your security deposit. Unauthorized Access Prohibited Areas marked "Private" or "Staff Only" are off-limits. Entry into these areas without permission is considered a breach of house rules and may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund. Check-Out Policy and Charges for Late Check-Out Check-out time is 11:00. Late check-out must be approved in advance. Unapproved late check-outs may result in a fee of 50 CHF per hour. Please respect this policy to ensure our cleaning staff can prepare for the next guests. Key Replacement Fee Lost keys or failure to return keys at check-out will incur a replacement fee of 100 CHF to cover rekeying costs. For security reasons, this fee is non-negotiable. Safety and Compliance Guests are responsible for adhering to all local fire, safety, and occupancy regulations. Tampering with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, or other safety equipment is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate eviction without refund. Responsibility for Personal Belongings We are not liable for any lost or stolen items. Please secure your belongings, and double-check the apartment for all personal items before departure. Unclaimed items left behind may be discarded after 24 hours. Professional Cleaning Fee for Negligence The apartment should be left in good condition. Excessive mess, stained linens, or unreasonable wear and tear may incur a professional cleaning fee starting at 200 CHF to cover extra cleaning needs. No Third-Party Bookings The booking guest must be present throughout the stay and is responsible for the behavior of all other guests. Reservations made on behalf of others are not allowed and may result in reservation cancellation without refund. No Subletting Guests are not allowed to sublet the property or allow any non-registered guests to stay overnight without prior approval. Subletting will result in immediate eviction without refund. Legal Compliance and Eviction Clause By booking, guests agree to comply with all house rules and local laws. Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation, eviction, and forfeiture of any refund. I had an amazing time at Mad's hilltop house, it was easy to get to and very close to the train station into Zurich HB took only 15-20 minutes max. Mads and Linn were extremely accomodating, and provided clear instructions. The house is fully equipped with everything from social activities to every cooking utensil you could need. The house was clean and tidy and well mantained. Mads also provided recommendations of restaurants, I thoroughly enjoyed his recommendation of Lily's original which is a must try! I absolutely loved my stay and hope to stay again in the future. Thanks so much Mads and Linn!

Supreme overall experience. Would highly recommend for 2-3 people, especially if you are traveling by car or planning to work remotely. Huge number of benefits you’re getting, besides Mads and Linn being amazing and extremely supportive hosts - 15 min to Zurich (train station 3 min away from the apartment, trains run every ~10 minutes), free parking, outstanding nature around, amazing green terrace with red maple, conifers, and a view of the mountains! Kitchen is well equipped, grocery shops are nearby, nothing was missing - just read the description carefully, everything is exactly as described. You can hike, you can bike, you can go explore Zurich or cantons nearby. Spent two weeks here and that was truly an amazing stay. Thank you, Mads and Linn!

Excellent séjour chez Mads et Linn. Le logement est chaleureux, impeccable, parfaitement conforme aux photos, et bien situé (environ 15 minutes en train de Zurich). Mads et Linn sont des hôtes très réactifs. Toutes les informations étaient claires et tout le confort était présent dans leur appartement. Je recommande fortement :)
